QuickBooks Online is a mature, widely used accounting product with deep reporting and audit-trail depth, and many accountants already know it. Its multi-currency handling and accountant tools suit a business with heavy cross-border finance. Beyond accounting, it has a large third-party app ecosystem and strong global brand recognition.
Choose QuickBooks if
your business is bookkeeping-first with no retail floor to run, your accountant already works in QuickBooks, or you need deep multi-currency accounting more than you need Nigerian tax reports.

Does QuickBooks have a point-of-sale system?
No. Intuit discontinued QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale on October 3, 2023, and QuickBooks Online never had one. Intuit's own guidance points shop owners to Shopify POS instead. Simplebks includes a retail and restaurant till in the same app as its inventory and accounting.
Do I need more than one product on QuickBooks to run a shop with two locations?
Yes, for a shop or a factory. Simplebks covers a till, full inventory, production and accounting in one app. On QuickBooks you need a separate till product and a second subscription for a second business, and QuickBooks Online still has no manufacturing.
Can QuickBooks Online run a small factory or workshop?
No. QuickBooks Online does not include manufacturing. Intuit offers manufacturing orders only in its separate Intuit Enterprise Suite, without multi-level recipes. Simplebks handles multi-level recipes and bills of materials, production batches with overheads costed in and contract-staff wages spread across the batches they worked on.
Does QuickBooks connect directly to GTBank?
No. QuickBooks' own support team confirms the direct GTBank bank-feed connection is unavailable; Nigerian users upload a CSV file from GTBank by hand instead. Simplebks reads bank alert emails from 13 Nigerian banks automatically and also takes a direct feed through Mono.
Can I run a restaurant on Simplebks?
Yes. Simplebks includes tables and a floor plan, kitchen screens, tabs, split bills and a QR menu with a shareable link customers can order from. QuickBooks Online has no restaurant or hospitality features.
Can I bring my QuickBooks data into Simplebks?
